So today while it was 100 degrees out I decided to go on a jog. Why not? It was actually really nice, explored las Vegas blvd by foot, and stumbled upon a tree with what I am fairly certain had figs growing on it. Which leads me to conclude it may have been a FIG tree- follow me so far? Anyway I climbed and picked a big juicy one.
Looks good doesn’t it? Well I thought so. What does any rational person do in this situation?
That’s correct, you eat it. And WOW it was good! A ripe/ fresh fig is the yummiest fruit of all time- officially.
On a different note, anyone see anything innately wrong with this picture?
Thought this was outlawed like…after the civil war! But I guess anything goes in Vegas.
So I’m sitting in the casino of south point watching my dad piss his money away 😛 it’s sad but in a twisted way, sorta entertaining. I can’t update this as much because my data plan for the month is almost used up and I still need it for the GPS to get home. But fuck it, I must document everything!
Story behind this first picture: after ash and I split I got a few social networking apps on my phone to help me meet people on my trip. It has been quite successful! First there is Buffy from the Philippines, we have the same birthday and year! What a fluke. She has made a great text-pal through this trip. Then there is Elle, who lives in Vegas and I met last night at a party. This is her and her best friend Lauren,
Elle has the glasses. Unfortunately everyone there was just stoned or drunk out of there mind, but it was fun to people watch. It must have been a funny sight to see me eating my cliff bar while everyone else ate pot brownies.
And what party doesn’t have beer pong?
Starting to miss gusano’s pizza too much…probably gonna have to come home soon.
So the convention is badass, learning tons and getting very inspired. I’ve been restructuring my labels and perceptions accordingly. For example, I am really resonating with the term “skeptic” over agnostic. There have been some great speakers that have stressed not to waste our finite resources (time, mostly) on things that aren’t real. Like God, horoscopes, homeopathy, drugs, etc. oh I could go on but here are the pictures!
Dad with Lawrence krauss, he gave a great talk on “nothing” and what it really is.
There is more to nothing than you’d imagine!
I thought these were extinct…but not in Vegas!
And yes, that’s $8 a pack! Should be $10!!
This is the best Jesus fish parody yet.
At the same booth, the guy was selling these very classy 24k gold earrings that we’re shaped like DNA. My dream is to eventually find a girl that I could buy these for and she would think they’re the coolest thing, because I do!
And lastly, for today, my dad and I on the casino floor!
I’m done gambling. Came out breaking even and I’m considering myself lucky haha, but it’s fun to watch dad!
So today I am coining a new term called “joggling” and here is why.
I have always wondered where pomegranates come from, a tropical bush? Underground bulb? From an aliens anus? Who knows? Whenever I questioned this I just made a note to google it later, but never remembered.
But today, I went on a nice jog to enjoy the rain in Vegas (which I assume is once in a life time). While cruising down a side street I came across this!
Sure enough the tree was busting with little puppy pomegranates! I never did get around to googling it but sure enough I accidentally joggled it!
Also saw this on the jog.
Just some cool clouds. Now this next one may not translate to camera well…but I certainly saw two fluffy cloud rabbits going at it on the left side of the horizon…see their ears at least?
So…I never want to leave because I’ll be so sad when I can’t walk to Capriotti’s!
Yesterday I got 20″ of the veggie cheese stake sub and it was fantastic, so today I ordered the veggie turkey and it is blowing my mind! I love food!!
This sub isn’t fucking around…it is loaded with everything from roasted bell peppers to veggie turkey..all for just over 50 cents and inch!
This is a fantastic restaurant that ash I and I ate at last year. The Beat…I just ordered the baked Mac & cheese 🙂 as well as grilled veggie sandwich yuuuum!
Slept in till 11, which was nice. Didn’t do much until 6. Then we left and got dunch at the BEST Sub shop I’ve ever found! I’ll get the name when I go back tomorrow. They had a veggie section with veggie cheese stake, veggie turkey, and veggie burger subs. Dad and I split a 20″ cheese stake and it was amazing!
I still feel good 6 hours later. Anyway, after that I saw BODIES…the exhibition. That blew my mind…I have a whole new respect for my body. If I weren’t already doing everything I can to be healthy, I would be inspired to start. Did you know every pack of cigarettes takes an average of 3 hours 45 min off your life?? Holy shit! And our tongue is made of 16 separate muscles!! I learned SO much!
Then the night really got started when we went to “fantasy” a sexy strip tease/ comedy show at the Luxor. There were some big fake boobies there let me tell ya. Vegas style. The one on the left of my dad was my favorite.
This was my dad’s fav, she was okay, but man…that other one I mentioned was hawwwwwwwwwt!
The convention starts tomorrow so I’m just gonna work out and go to sleep…
I don’t even wanna leave the hotel room! Too effing hot out side…we’re talking 115 degrees hot. NOT COOL.
So tonight we left the palace of south point to visit The Luxor.
The 6 mile ride was HORRIBLE, riding 2 up with dad on back in 113 degree heat fully geared in jeans, jacket, and helmet, in stop-and-go traffic…bleck. The Luxor was sweet though, we saw Chris Angel’s “believe” show which was awesome! If you haven’t seen his magic tricks before you tube his name…crazy stuff. Here are some of his motorcycles that were on display.
This is a shot from the front…?
This was my favorite.
This bike was MASSIVE, like… I don’t think a normal person would be able to function it…too big.
After the show we went and got some snacks, I stocked up in cliff bars, my new staple food. This is a few days supply I hope.
Tomorrow we see the “fantasy” show and probably “body world” too. I’ll let ya know how they are.
