Got my first chicago style fix since we left. Not as good as home…but it’s edible. We walked over 6 miles today exploring the beach and shops and ended up at NYC pizza.
We will head back to Dolly’s after this and crash in that fantastic bed! Very excited about that!!
I could totally live here.
Walked all day down Venice. Saw some sweet yoga.
And fancy mustache sunglasses!
And the best shirt ever for me!
Bugatti W16. They cost $2.7 million.
Went to a shop today to get Jo-nathen’s bike worked on, they had quite a showroom!
I have never seen one of these BMWs before. Not had I seen a CBX, a straight 6 cylinder made by Honda for a few years.
Well Santa Monica actually.
I love this dog, haven’t seen her for a year! Sorry I can’t take a clear photo.
Last night we stayed at my step mom’s sister’s place in Santa Monica. I got to take my first shower…felt heavenly…and then the best thing ever, the BED! It was like sleeping on dreams! Never slept so hard in my life, yet I still woke up at 8am. I guess that feels like 10 to me though (pacific vs central time). Now we have to find some breakfast and “do” LA. Tomorrow I will be in Tracy!!
It was 11:30pm on the crazy LA HIGHWAY, when my bike started making a horrible rattle, I went to move my foot on the shifter and holy shit it wasn’t there! I looked down and saw something sparking under the bike so with my hazards on and horn blowing cut over to the side with Jo-nathen following confused as ever. Upon closer inspection it seems my shift linkage had come unbolted and vibrated off, it was bouncing around on the ground making a big fuss!
I wedged it back on for the time being and we were back on the road, only a little worse for wear.
After we ate the amazing lunch at pickles, we headed to LA. I am pleased to say we made it with only one small mishap (next post). It was about 500 miles through some serious desert, we sure went through some water today! I barely made it to a gas station at one point, had hit reserve and had about 15 miles before dry- that would have been exciting!
Goodbye sun, now we can ride in peace.
So today we rode over 600 miles total, from Tuba to flagstaff, then to LA. It was a full day!
This was the best thing I have ever tasted/ I was starving.
We are very happy 🙂
And apparently Jo-nathen doesn’t know how to smile for a picture 😛
Time to gear up and go 500 miles to L.A. Hope we don’t have any set backs, I’m getting anxious to get to California.
